Reserve Ripcord Sizing Guide

Substitution of the Mirage reserve ripcord with components made by another manufacturer is prohibited, and voids the TSO.

Don’t guess!  If you are uncertain of the correct ripcord length, provide the serial number and we will look it up.  Check the rig’s label to find the serial number.  The label is located in the pocket behind the left ring cover.  Left and right is as you’re wearing the rig.

• Mirage ripcords are measured from the end of the pin to the end of the ball.
• Soft handles have the length on their label.
• Yoke extensions are marked on the label with ‘ext’.  If ‘ext’ is not shown, then it is a standard yoke.
• Standard ring covers are 4.5″ long (top to bottom), mini ring covers are 3.5″ long.
• All reserve ripcords should have at least 2″ of slack when the pin is seated.
